AGSA Eligibility Determination

  1. Plumas County is County in California with all the powers that California Law provides, including land use authority and authority to issue well permits within the Sierra Valley Groundwater Basin covered by Plumas County. There is a portion of the Sierra Valley Groundwater Basin that is covered by the Sierra Valley Groundwater Management District. Plumas County intends to form a GSA for that portion of the Sierra Valley Groundwater Basin, which is identified in DWR Bulletin 118, not covered by the Sierra Valley Groundwater Management District.

The "sliver" area is owned by Plumas National Forest. The remaining area of the Sierra Valley Groundwater Basin is covered by the Sierra Valley Groundwater Management District.
