Prior to the filing of the Groundwater Sustainability Plan Initial Notification for Fresno County GSAs Management Areas A and B, County staff engaged with stakeholders within the GSAs boundaries to discuss the development of the Groundwater Sustainability Plan. Following the retention of a the County?s consultant for the preparation of the GSP, an informal workgroup, consisting of stakeholders within the GSAs geographic areas will be invited to meet on a regular basis to further discuss and engage in the GSP process. Information regarding the time and location of workgroup meetings have not been determined, however once determined the information will be available on the Fresno County website at: http://www.co.fresno.ca.us/departments/public-works-planning/divisions-of-public-works-and-planning/admin-division/sustainable-groundwater-management-act. Interested parties may participate in the process, as meetings will be open to the public. For more information or questions, please refer to the Fresno County website. In addition, County staff will be participating in a series of workshops as part of the larger Delta-Mendota Subbasin outreach effort, which will allow interested parties and members of the public to participate in the GSP development process for the subbasin. Information will be available on the Fresno County website, along with informational flyers mailed out to all property owners identified within the GSAs boundaries.
