North Kern Water Storage District is a California Water Storage District formed and operating pursuant to and in accordance with Division 14 of the California Water Code and overlies a portion of the Kern County Subbasin of the San Joaquin Valley Groundwater Basin portion of the Tulare Lake Hydrologic Region and is therefore a Local Agency as defined within the California Water Code Section 10721 (n).
