AGSA Eligibility Determination

The Semitropic Water Storage District is a California Water Storage District formed and operating pursuant to and in accordance with Division 14 of the California Water Code and overlies a portion of the Kern County Subbasin of the San Joaquin Valley Groundwater Basin portion of the Tulare Lake Hydrologic Region, as defined in Bulletin 18 of the California Department of Water Resources, and is therefore a "Local Agency" a defined within the California Water Code Section 10721 (n).

It is the Intent of the Semitropic GSA as a member of the Kern Groundwater Authority to work collaboratively with the Kern Groundwater Authority to develop as Single GSP which will include those entities that have elected to have the Kern Groundwater Authority be their GSA along with the Semitropic GSA.
