South Sutter Water District (SSWD) is a California water district organized, existing, and operating under the provisions of the California Water District Law, California Water Code Section 34000 et seq., and is thus a local agency authorized to exercise powers related to groundwater management under California Water Code section 10721. SSWD's boundaries overlie a portion of the Sacramento Valley Groundwater Basin, North American Subbasin, identified in DWR Bulletin 118 as Basin No. 5-21.64.
