The Kern County Water Agency (Agency) is a local agency qualified to become a GSA because it contracts with the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) to receive State Water Project water supplies and overlies a portion of the Kern County Subbasin (Basin Number 5- 22.14, DWR Bulletin 118) within the San Joaquin Valley Groundwater Basin, a DWR-designated high-priority basin.

As required by Water Code Section 10723.2, the Pioneer GSA has established and will maintain a list of all interested parties.
