A joint powers authority (JPA) has been created by agreement of the City of Corona, Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District, and Temescal Valley Water District for the purposes of creating a Groundwater Sustainability Agency and completing the Groundwater Sustainability Plan for the Bedford-Coldwater Sub-basin. Each of the JPA's member agencies overlie a portion of the sub-basin and exercises water management, water supply or land use authority within a portion of the basin. The GSP will be developed by the technical staff of these agencies, aided by an Administrator (Stantec) who will facilitate the process. Interested parties are encouraged to participate in the process. Participation may be accomplished by contacting the administrator directly, and/or attending quarterly board meetings of the JPA, which are held at the Temescal Valley Water District headquarters at the Temescal Valley Water District Administrative Offices, 22646 Temescal Canyon Road, Temescal Valley, California 92883. The GSA will also hold public meetings at critical milestones in the process and will publish a website containing information and updates on the process and status of the GSP.
