AGSA Eligibility Determination

Provide a description of your local agency's water supply, water management, or land use responsibilities within the groundwater basin / basins you intend to manage.
Pursuant to Water Code Section 10723.8, the County of Sutter (County) hereby notifies the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) of its decision to become a Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA), and its intent to cover the portions of the East Butte Subbasin (Number 5-21.59), Sutter Subbasin (Number 5-21.62), and North American Subbasin (Number 5-21.64) within the County limits that are not represented by another GSA. This notice is submitted in compliance with Water Code Section 10723(d). The Sutter County jurisdictional area and Sutter County GSA service area are depicted in the provided boundary map.
