The City is electing to become a GSA for a portion of the southwest 180/400 Foot Aquifer Subbasin within its jurisdictional limits and is bounded by the Pacific Ocean along the western border.

The City currently has authority for review and approval of land uses within the City limits which includes lands within the proposed GSA boundary. The service area boundary for all services provided by the City of Marina is the City?s jurisdictional limits. The GSA boundary is a portion within the City?s boundary that does not receive water and sewer service from the Marina Coast Water District.

Entities listed in California Water Code Section 10927 that are monitoring and reporting groundwater elevations in all or part of the basins to be managed by the City as the designated GSA: a.
