AGSA Eligibility Determination

Provide a description of your local agency's water supply, water management, or land use responsibilities within the groundwater basin / basins you intend to manage.
The County of Fresno has land use authority within the groundwater basin. Pursuant to Water Code Section 10724, the County of Fresno hereby notifies the California Department of Water Resources of its acceptance to be presumed as the Groundwater Sustainability Agency for the unmanaged portions of the Westside Subbasin.

If desired, please provide information that clarifies your service area boundary and GSA boundary, if those boundaries are different.
It is the intent of the County of Fresno to file for portions of the Westside Subbasin that are outside of the service area boundary of Westlands Water District and within the County of Fresno. This action is taken with the knowledge that portions of the County's GSA filing may overlap with the current filing submitted by Westlands Water District. However, it is the County's understanding that it is the intent of Westlands Water District to revise its current filing with DWR to remove any areas of overlap.
