  4. There are no local agencies with service areas overlapping those of TIWD. Turner Island Water District is coordinating this GSA notification with Merced County to avoid overlapping boundaries in the event that the County elects to become a GSA in the Merced Subbasin. An email correspondence between TIWD and Merced County acknowledging the coordination of the GSA formation without overlap is attached. On March 15, 2017, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo) of Merced County approved annexation of the subject lands into TIWD?s service area consisting of 4,138 acres, which lies wholly within the Merced Subbasin.
