  4. There are no local agencies with service areas overlapping those of TIWD other than Merced County. Turner Island Water District is coordinating this GSA notification with Merced County to avoid overlapping boundaries in the event that the County elects to become a GSA in the Delta-Mendota Subbasin. An email correspondence between TIWD and Merced County acknowledging the coordination of the GSA formation without overlap is attached. On March 15, 2017, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo) of Merced County approved annexation of the subject lands into TIWD?s service area consisting of 1,936 acres of the Wolfsen Land and Cattle property, which lies wholly within the Delta-Mendota Subbasin.
