B. Description of Proposed Boundary Modification
-
Arroyo Santa Rosa GSA BBM.
-
- Scientific External
-
The Santa Rosa Basin boundary as represented in the DWR Bulletin 118 GIS database, currently the official state definition of the basin's extent, does not include groundwater wells that may impact hydrologic conditions within the basin and does not accurately reflect the basin's geology. The proposed modification to the boundary would capture the outlying wells and, by according with the extent of alluvium in the basin, better incorporate the water-bearing formations of the Santa Rosa Valley, thereby increasing the likelihood of sustainable management.
