4. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POTENTIAL BASIN BOUNDARY MODIFICATION REQUEST
  • Sutter Extension Water District (SEWD) is a GSA that spans two sub-basins. The vast majority of SEWD lies in the Sutter sub-basin, and the rest is in the East Butte Sub-basin, by a ratio of approximately 13-1. SEWD would like to do a Judicial Basin Boundary Modification that would move the northern boundary the separates the Sutter Sub-basin and the East Butte Sub-basin so that the entire GSA will lie in the Sutter Sub-basin. On the attached map, you will see the SEWD GSA shown in green. We wish to incorporate the small portion that extends into the East Butte GSA into the Sutter Sub-basin. We will be working simultaneously with Sutter to submit a combined Jurisdictional Basin Boundary Modification.
