4. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POTENTIAL BASIN BOUNDARY MODIFICATION REQUEST
  • Westlands Water District (District) intends to modify the San Joaquin Valley Groundwater Basin's Westside Subbasin Boundary, 5-22.09, to follow the District's legal jurisdictional boundary last revised in 2006. The only exceptions to the proposed boundary modification are Naval Air Station Lemoore's property and the north west boundary which will follow the Coastal Range. The District will request that all of Naval Air Station Lemoore's property be included in the Westside Subbasin. The District is not proposing to modify the existing north western boundary that is shared with the Coastal Range as described in the Bulletin 118- 2006 update of the Westside Subbasin description and associated GIS shapefiles available from the DWR Bulletin 118 website (http://www.water.ca.gov/groundwater/bulletin118/gwbasins.cfm) .
