4. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POTENTIAL BASIN BOUNDARY MODIFICATION REQUEST
  • The proposed basin boundary modification is a jurisdictional modification involving a consolidation of the portions of the Colusa (5-21.52) subbasin located within Tehama County into the portion of the Corning (5-21.51) subbasin located within the Tehama County. This 1,300 acre area with 10 individual landowners would get better representation by their local elected officials on the Flood Control and Water Conservation District Board of Directors, then to be grouped into the 918,380 acre Colusa subbasin that spans four counties. The Tehama County Flood Control and Water Conservation District became the exclusive Groundwater Sustainability Agency for the portions of the Corning and Colusa subbasins located within Tehama County on February 11, 2016.
